Salicorne, a Ted Brewer 1980 designed Whitby 42 is a spacious, sturdy and rugged full-keeled, heavy displacement center cockpit monohull ideal for those who want more living space on board. She has two double berths each with private toilet and large saloon (which converts to a double berth plus single) and galley with Isotherm compact 2507 water cooled refrigeration unit fitted Aug 2016 (dc) and force 10 cooker and oven.She is one of only a few Whitbys who have been converted from a ketch rig to a cutter rig. (Florida 2005). She had new spreaders and boom replced then. New standing rigging and Harken roller furler were added in 2013. She has a Perkins 4-236 engine (Detroit diesel engine block)All exhaust hoses were replaced in 2017(vetus), a Balmar 150amp alternator, Balmar max charge multi regulator, 6 marine deep cycle house batteries replaced November 2019.1 cranking battery ( Dec 2018) 1 windlass battery. She has a three bladed bronze fixed propeller. Salicorne is fitted with Ocean talk AIS, Garmin echomap50 chart plotter, Furono GPs, Raymarine P70 autopilot and VHF radio. She was completely rewired in 2018 and has LED lighting throughout.She has Air X marine wind power 400w.New blades were fitted 2017 and 4 x100watt solar panels fitted 2018 with smart control box .The owners have lived on board for the last three years so she is well maintained. She comes with lots of extras including a hydrovane partially fitted and never used. She also comes with 2 extra fuel and water containers, a slection of tools and spare parts and a force 10 BBQ. Salicorne is a very spacious Whitby 42 with lots of head room.She was completely rewired in 2018 and fitted with led lighting and 12 volt fans throughout. The shore power wiring was also replaced. She has a very spacious aft cabin reached via the companionway from the navigation station. The saloon is again spacious and con convert into a double and single berth. The galley is fitted with Isotherm compact 2507, water cooled refridgeration unit. Unit and piping all fitted in Aug 2016. A Gimbaled gas stove and oven (force 10) is fitted in the galley with crash bar and locking device. Two gas cylinders are fitted in the designated aft lockers. Gas sniffer was installed in 2018 and all gas piping was replaced.

Salicorne was converted from a ketch rig to a cutter rig in Florida 2005. A new boom and spreaders were added then. In 2013 the standing rigging was all replaced and a harken furling system added. A Tasker cruising furler was purchased in 2016.
There is also a hank on inner sail and main sail all in good condition.
Jack lines, 2 Horshore buoys and throw-ins. Salicorne also comes with 4 lifejackets and harnesses.(various makes including Burkeand crew saver.)
She also has emergency steering.
