To me the glorious era for Moody Yachts was the 1970s. Laurent Giles was among the designers who embraced the new GRP construction techniques of the '60s and there followed a strong partnership between him and Moody's for the next decade. The Moody 44 is a strong, well built and good looking offshore cruising yacht with a well balanced rig and seamanlike layout.
