SALTY NOMAD.
Launched in 2006, this boat has had 2 previous owners, and has been based in South East Asia for over 4 years now. Berthed in the exclusive Rebak Marina, Langkawi, she is right on the doorstep of a wide range of possible adventures. The Langkawi Archipelago, the Coastal cruising of Thailand, the surf of West Sumatra, or the Indian Ocean crossing to the Red Sea or Africa! The choice is yours!
Salty Nomad is a "Celebration Edition" of this clipper range, and was produced with a taller mast and deeper keel, improving sailing performance and stability. With 2 x brand new 12VDC airconditioning units having just been installed, you can relax inboard in comfort in port, or on anchor, as the units are fed by the huge 1400 amp lithium battery bank. Self sufficient, and equipped for extended cruising, she has a 900 watt solar array, a 3000 watt inverter, an engine alternator, and a Honda Generator. Having just had a new Spray hood and Bimini made, her outdoor cockpit space is also perfect for entertaining as well as relaxing, and the open transom makes for easy accessibility to the cool ocean waters.
From the large swim platform and open transom, up to the bow, comfort and space are the hallmarks of sailing on any Oceanis yacht.
The extensive open cockpit allows you to circulate about unhindered from the companionway to the stern deck. The cockpit provides safety under sail, and helming is fluid on either tack, with this twin helm layout. All lines lead back to the cockpit.
In-mast furling and one electric winch allows for easy sheeting in, leaving you to focus on the pleasure of sailing.
The living space's design is the key to your comfort aboard. The generous interior spaces are bathed in light, with the wide beam offering a spacious and comfortable living environment. Upholstery is light and fresh, and extremely luxurious. Below decks there is a familiar Beneteau layout: a large saloon with an ample galley and navigation station slotted just in front of the main head.
One real point of interest is the hugely spacious double cabins aft - hardly surprising given her beam.
Currently a full time live aboard yacht, Salty Nomad is the perfect combination of a performance cruising yacht, and a comfortable liveaboard.
